Chief builts a trail

The Medano-Zapata Ranch is a beautiful piece of real estate adjoining the Great Sand Dunes National Park in South West Colorado. The Nature Conservancy was able to spring the money to purchase the land as part of a conservancy effort. Indian Chief helped a trail to be built so visitors could enjoy this wonderful resource with less impact to the environment.
Steve Austin -- also called Father Gnome -- has been doing a number of these trails over the years. He is close to 200 projects. He was the crew leader for the team Indian Chief worked in.
Here is the Chief resting on a gate that provided access tp the trail across a fence.
The gnomes are a important part of getting a successful trail project done.

The chief is enjoying the trail as some of the technical advisors for the trail come through.
